Job Description

Would you like to support UAF’s research and education? Our team in Kodiak needs a Building Technician to support them by working on small projects and operational support. This work is everything from setting rooms up for training to basic maintenance and landscaping to minor room remodels. This position can open up many work and educational opportunities and is a great way to start a career.

Additional Experience:

Apprentice level or equivalent certification; or a minimum of six years multi-trade experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working in a seafood research facility or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

Apprentice level or equivalent certification; or a minimum of six years multi-trade experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. A valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria is required.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and  full employee benefits package . Salary Information: CT1 /Step 1 $24.97/hr. 
CT2/ Step 2 $28.09/hr. (See Article 9.2 in the L6070 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Wage Grade Schedule ).

This position is represented by the Alaska Higher Education Crafts & Trades Employees (L6070).
