ATSS has a client in Mobile, AL looking for First Class Pipe Fitters.

Pipe Fitter (First Class)

• The ability to understand directions and follow instructions.

• Technically proficient in tasks, work processes, and equipment operation.
• Accountable for completion of daily work assignments, completion of work signatures, QA signatures for completeness and quality of work.
• Must be able to prepare and install a lockout/tag out to protect work.
• Working knowledge of piping systems on board marine vessels or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of equipment, work processes and techniques used in measuring, fitting and welding pipe.
• Must complete a practical exam.
• Must know how to read pipe drawings and calculate pipe requirements through the effective use of standard pipe formulas.
• Ability to properly target pipe spools.
• Must be capable to read, comprehend and interpret blue prints.
• Must meet certification requirements for manual torch brazing.
• Must have knowledge and utilize proper tools to perform the job assignment.
• Must be able to estimate material needs for the next day’s work.

• May be assigned to work any shift.
