Traffic Coordinator
The Traffic Coordinator will support the Traffic Department. They will be responsible for the daily tasks as they relate to the framework of operations, e.g., managing accounts to ensure proper shipping. They will also be responsible for following all standard policies and procedures within their assigned department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must possess the knowledge of all supporting functions in the traffic department, such as
- creating shipments, creating loads, adding, and removing orders from existing loads, entering correct and accurate data in S.O.P.A.
- Obtain and maintain the knowledge of all supporting processes, routing guidelines, vendor compliance, account processes, department policies and procedures.
- Comply with all routing guidelines ensuring that each account is properly shipped.
- Maintain the flow of shipping for each account.
- Create shipping documents.
- Monitor daily orders to be shipped.
- Obtain routing and carrier information daily.
- Coordinate Traffic and Shipping needs (e.g., schedule pickups, shipping schedules).
- Ability to invoice.
- Maintain and monitor all processing requirements (e.g., customer supplied labels, hang
- tags, UCC 128’s, ship to addresses).
- Maintain vendor compliance requirements.
- Assist and comply with compliance department to ensure proper shipping needs are meet regularly.
- Compose reports/memos.
- Support the urgency to meet deadlines, month end/quarter needs.
- Research customer, carrier and, corporate requests
- Log in and assist drivers as needed
- Perform other general duties as needed
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
3-4 years’ experience in warehousing, e.g., Traffic/Shipping preferred
$17.50 an hour (Temp to Hire)
